Atelier OPA endeavor to create product design, art, interior design, and architecture with an original touch.
Ph.D. Yuki Sugihara, Professor Toshihiko Suzuki, and Designer Munetaka Ishikawa.
We believe “Design and hospitality beyond borders”
We like to study good design and art and architecture of all over the world. Besides we like to show our works in abroad.
Sometimes we take part in design messe. Recently we joined Inno design tech expo in Hong Kong for “Asia Design Award” (December 2007, 2008, 2009) and Köln messe in Cologne, Germany for “imm” (January 2009, 2010). Last year we first join Interior Lifestyle China in Shanghai, China (November 2009).
Suzuki, our member architect, used to exhibit in Milano Salone, Italy (2004, 2005, 2006) and Designer’s block in London(2002, 2003 ). But we have to pay attention to China these years although we love New York, Paris and other cities.
Sugihara, as an artist and a researcher, likes to study languages in abroad. For instance she can say “Could you give me a receipt?” in Chinese, French, Germany, Italy. Now she tries to memorize it in Viet Nam.
Ishikawa, a silent designer, he suddenly becomes talkative as for football. When our Turkish client sent a picture of office, he noticed something local teams. He said “These are medals of Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe.” And continued to say:”Zico was also directed Japan team…Roberto Carlos da Silva has supreme left leg.”
We hope to see you soon in your town!
